Left-hander Jeremy Affeldt will miss the remainder of the season after he cut his right hand in a backyard barbecue incident Thursday, Giants manager Bruce Bochy said. Affeldt was trying to separate frozen hamburger patties when he sustained a deep gash in his right (non-throwing) palm. He underwent surgery to address nerve damage.Andrew Baggarly
